The Takahē was once nearly extinct in the late 1940s and was accidentally rediscovered in the fjord lands of New Zealand. Now a protected bird species. The birds inspire me time and again because of their unique colors and unusual shape and certainly also their character. I have made a series of postcards of typical NZ birds. In addition, this work is also available on textile, plexiglass, or canvas.
